Both B&Q and Valspar apologise to customers affected by certain batches of Valspar paint sold last year and are committed to resolving this as quickly as possible for them.

As soon as the issue was identified in 2017, Valspar took corrective action to minimise the risk of the odour occurring. However, we remain committed to resolving any concerns customers may have.

Any customers having followed the recommendation and still having difficulty will be offered an onsite visit to help find a resolution.

We can assure customers that, although the paint odour being reported is unpleasant, it is not harmful to health.
