Rated 1 out of 5 by from Truly Awful!! This paint feels so thick, like you are painting with chalk or thin filler, leaves a horrible stipple effect in some areas as if you used a textured paint, it dries blotchy and too fast so you cant blend "to a wet edge" as it says on the can. the coverage is abysmal, because it is so thick and unworkable. In the same room I used V700 for one wall, opposite, similar size and it was so much better, 1 litre seemed to go on for miles. Please, avoid this awful paint, its cheaper but a truly false economy, to finish the room I will need to buy more paint ,it will be v700, lets hope it matches or the whole three walls will need to be done again, perhaps then I will use D*L*X.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst paint I think I've ever used I'm halfway through painting over a pale coloured bedroom with 'at the barre ', which is also pale. After three coats on some walls it's still patchy, the paint is sticky, and yet somehow also thin. It does not go on smoothly, I've tried typical interior rollers, foam rollers, brushes and I even bought brand new rollers to try and improve the application. I wish I could stop now and move onto a different paint. Don't waste your money!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst paint I've ever used I'm no expert, but have painted a handful of rooms successfully. But this paint had me doubting I knew what I was doing. I WISH I had looked at the reviews before buying simplicity. I wrongly decided to try the cheaper option after being told it's almost as good as the next level up by the sales staff. It's looks horrific after 2 coats. I thought it was me and was about to go and buy more paint to do a third coat (coverage is far less than it suggests too), but thought I'd check online first. I'll now have to restart the whole room again and buy better paint. Furious.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst paint ever Previous reviews say it all. This is the worst emulsion paint that I have ever used. It goes on patchy and stays that way. We are painting over a white wall so two coats should have been all that was needed. Even edging in is problematic as the paint starts drying and going lumpy. It seems to dry too quickly. The finished texture is awful and we’ll have to repaint the whole room. Never buy this paint!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful advert for the Valspar brand We have used Valspar paint in our home previously as we like the fact you can mix a bespoke colour. Previously we have used the v700 blend and found it to be a great product. We recently decided to try the new Valspar simplicity product but quickly found upon application that the product is not fit for purpose. As an entry level product we expected it to be a couple of steps down from the v700 but the results are not acceptable. The product is far too watery and ends up leaving the surface patchy, i gave it a couple of coats to see if the product improved but the attached photo is after two coats have been applied. If the aim of this product is to entice people to your brand with lower prices you should really have a rethink as this product will put people off your brand completely.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor coverage and plastic texture Took three coats to cover white paint with Bankson Blue, still not fully covered. Now the paint is dry it has a sticky/plastic feel to it, not very matt at all

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst paint ever! I’ve always used valspar without a problem but this line is awful, I’ve painted three coats now and it’s super patchy. I’ve tried painting with a brush and a roller ensuring I’m painting quickly so as not to get lap lines but the pint dries so fast it’s unavoidable. Now I have a messy wall that’s is cakey in texture and tressed about how to resolve the problem!
