Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product and coverage I usually use Fusion mineral paint which you can only purchase from independent retailers, however due to Coronavirus last year, availability disappeared. In desperation I thought I would give the new furniture paint range ( having used the Emulsions many times). And I was totally shocked how amazing this produce was. And have since used many times. But, I had only used the darker colours ( base C) and when I ordered a custom white for a project I was disappointed with the coverage. After reading some negative reviews it seems to stem from the lighter colours? So, come on Valspar change the base coats for the lighter colours please.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great result Bought this ladt week painting my shoe cupboard dark blue over white so needed three coats . You must make sure its grease free and use a light sandpaper. Applies really well.Dont mess with it. A previous review said it had cone off. Looking at the picture provided by her the paint which is a primer undercoat and finish softened the existing Varnish so must ensure the surface you apply to is not soft and well rubbed down . Re rub down with a light sand paper so you surface is a flat finish re apply the paint dont put second coat on until after 7 hours then apply second . Hope it works....

Rated 1 out of 5 by from worst paint product bought 2 tins of cheeky peach Furniture Paint last week to upcycle oak kitchen cupboard doors (previously used valspar emulsion to paint my kitchen cupboards in holiday home - sprayed 2x and matt laquer applied = super tough great finish. So confident specialised furniture paint from valspar would be amzing , how wrong i was. 240 grade paper prep degreased and tack cloth used painted with purdey brush (as recommended by valspar rep in store. 2 coats looks terrible and crumbling off before finished- very upset

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fab paint! I really like this product, and have painted many items without problem. Providing all instructions are followed, it's fool proof. I find that three coats gives the best coverage, and it's vital to wait the correct curing time. I've recommended it to friends and feel comfortable doing so. Will definitely use it again!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ridiculously bad paint, despite layering! I bought this in November to paint our kitchen cabinets after being advised to use this by the Valspar counter in B&Q. We followed the instructions to a T, and the results were appalling. We ended up having to do 4 coats after being told we'd need 2 max, had to buy more paint because of this and even now only a month later the paint has yellowed in some areas, chipped away in multiple areas and still shows the grain of the wood in some areas. I honestly couldn't be more disappointed. We spent a week painting to have awful kitchen cabinets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Did a great job for a complete novice This was a lockdown project. I was definitely more ambitious that I should have been , having never painted anything more than a garden fence before! Chose the Valspar furniture paint because it was easy and convenient to pop to B& Q to buy supplies. The paint went on really easily and I was a little panicked at first but it dries a different colour. I think it does need at least two coats , perhaps more if the colour change is marked. I painted a very large wardrobe , two large bedside cabinets, a huge chest of drawers and end of bed ottoman. On the advice of our decorator I finished with two coats of matt varnish. We’ve been using the furniture daily with no chips or wear after 3 months. We put toughened glass on top for extra protection. Bearing in mind that this furniture would have cost four or five thousand pounds to replace ( any my husbands total scepticism that I could do it and that it would work! ) I’m delighted. I couldn’t speak for kitchen cabinets that have an entirely different workload but for living/bedroom furniture it’s great. There didn’t seem to be a positive review on the product so it’s only fair that I put my experience here too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed Purchased thousands paint 3 weeks ago painted my kitchen cupboards with it, initially it was went in beautiful, it dried with a great finish, however within two days the paint began to chip off, even with the slightest touch out a finger nail, not hard wearing at all extremely disappointed. This has only made a time consuming job even longer, as I now have to re paint all my cupboards in a more hardwearing paint.
