Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY, PAINT PEELS OFF WALLS We bought two tubs of this to paint our ceilings after we renovated our house, we used a professional painter and on the second day of painting the Painter noticed that the ceiling paint was peeling around the edges, he rubbed this down and then re-painted the ceilings the next day and the same thing happened again! After reading the reviews on your website and seeing that this has happened to numerous people we immediately stopped using your paint, rubbed the affected areas down and then used Dulux and no peeling occurred. I sent an email to the customer care team on 18th June but they havent replied! I repeat do NOT buy this horrendous paint!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolutely fuming I purchased this so called perfect white paint to finish off my room. The living room had been freshly plastered and skimmed. I waited for the plaster to dry, done my mist coats before applying this terrible paint. Applying it weren’t easy either, it left streaks on my ceiling wall. I waiting for it to dry. Came back to a crime scene. My new ceiling is ruined. It’s started to flake and peel. I have no idea how I’m supposed to fix this and what the cost of that is going to be. I want Valspar to pay for my damages and to rectify it. This is a joke, I’m not happy and definitely won’t be recommending your products to anyone or using them again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What on earth happened! I bought this product last weekend in order to paint the ceiling on my kitchen diner. B and Q only had the large tin, so I had to pay £44 for the following abysmal results. I have always promoted Valspar products, but I just can't figure out what is going on with this paint. Just like everyone else who has posted comments on here, the area was prepared properly and paint applied in accordance with the instructions, yet I am now faced with the arduous task of stripping it all off of a large ceiling. I intend to ask for my money back, but don't know if that will go well. I'm not going to get back however, all the time I have lost using this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ruined our dining room We bought this paint to use over a very light blue paint, painted it on and literally as soon as it started to dry, it started flaking. Particularly in the corners and around door frames where we had cut in, but literally everywhere. We had to scrape it all off and sand the whole room, including sanding off the previous paint as we thought that it may not have reacted well. Tried again, and exactly the same thing happened. The paint underneath wasn't silk, so should have been fine. Wouldn't waste your money, especially as it's ridiculously expensive to being with!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not use this product Ruined our garage conversion. Paint has all bubbled and peeled. I’ve had to scrape the ceiling back to bare plaster and I’m debating getting the plasterer to have to come and rectify the walls because of the mess it has made. I have previously used valspar and had no problems. Overall I’m very unhappy and disappointed with this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cracked paint, wasted day, 3 days work to fix now? I bought this paint at B&Q yesterday. Prior to starting we sugarsoaped the wall, poly filled the holes and applied a layer of undercoat. Went on fine, and at the end of the day we went to bed expecting to do one more coat today and finish the 3 day job. Woke up to find the surface cracked in multiple places. Will now need to wait a few days to assess the full damage, sand, repaint. Very disappointing. We have several more days work to do and no living room until it’s finished. :-(

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So disappointed! Do not buy!! We bought this paint after painting 2 other rooms very successfully with valspar paint, using mix service in b&q. Never even thought to check reviews as we expected the same quality as previously bought. How wrong were we. Hours spent sanding and prepping the walls and this paint has crackled, raised off the surface. Made a total mess that we are now trying to correct!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from paint ruined our lounge We recently purchased a 5l tin of your "The Perfect White" paint with primer included to paint our lounge after using it on our ceilings (only one coat) and liking the bright white colour. On the ceilings it had been fine, but, this was not true for the lounge. In this case, we are devastated by the results. We put on two coats taking over two hours per coat and four hours dry time between. In the evening it looked patchy but ok, the next morning it had begun to crack all over to look like alligator skin (see attached photos). This is the case across the whole room. It looks terrible and we do not know where to begin to fix this. After so much work and in such a prominent room, we are beyond disappointed. Really terrible paint! Would NOT recommend.
