Rated 1 out of 5 by from Total agreement I have just attempted to use the Perfect White Wood and Metal Interior gloss and am in total agreement with previous reviews. The paint was so thin that I re-stirred it vigorously for a further 5 minutes, after first attempting to use, as I was sure it couldn’t be mixed properly. It does seem to give a gloss coat, but there seems a total lack of pigment so coverage is non-existent. I have used Valspar paint on numerous occasions previously and never had a problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from atrocious, dony buy. i bought the undercoat and satin for wood and metal. UNBELIEVABLY THIN. LIKE A CHEAP EMULSION PAINT. zero coverage, unless you have covered everything beneath. i used a 2.5ltr tin on four doors and skirting boards in a small hallway. in fairness, the end result is very titanium white, much whiter than dulux,, but much harder work. Wouldn't recommend for a weekend project, this paint needs time and effort for great results. BE PREPARED. expensive and time consuming. not for the lazy painter. sorry valspar, not recommended.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubbish paint - Zero stars Wish I had read the previous reviews beforehand, 2x 5l of paint bought, water based and useless, streaking, drips everywhere, total nightmare, making a mess of my landing area. Like applying milk to walls and radiators. Will be taking the product back to B&Q. Absolute rubbish.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Truly the worst pain to have ever used Stirred properly, this is still thin, streaky paint and it runs and runs. It might well be white, but there is so little pigment here that I doubt a dozen coats would give an acceptable finish. I had to wait 1 1/2 hours catching drips. I shall be returning this and not buying another of your products. Dreadful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awful paint Really disappointed, it's by far the worst paint I've ever used. It is so thin, I needed to paint 12 doors. The coverage is awful after 3 coats of the paint and many hours of painting still dissatisfied with the finish I went out and purchased another brand of paint which was far superior and gave instant coverage. I feel I've wasted so much time and energy not to mention money by buying Valspar paint!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needs a good stir and mix I used the white gloss and did not have a lot of success but after talking to a professional painter friend who said it really does need a long stir/mix, I took on a door. What a difference it made, the paint went on nicely and covered so well. I only had to give it one coat as I had undercoated. It is not a high gloss but look nice and it stays very white. The downside was after about nine months I wanted to paint some window sills and the paint did not perform the same. It seemed to be gloopy and thick and when I painted over to join just previously painted sill, the paint dragged and left lumps and large patches. As its water based, can a small amount of water be added to previously shelved paint to stop this dragging happening. Happy to use again as no smelly paint, easy to clean up drips and spills and brushes wash out so easily.
